Combining rock, ska and eastern European influences, The Adam Burns Band creates music that is both energetic and richly melodic. Adam’s lyrics walk the knife edge between cynical wit and emotional engagement, and as a result his musical characters come to life in such a way that you can nearly reach out and touch them.
Adam emigrated from England to California in 2004, where he recruited drummer Greg Nespor, singer and violinist Kristin Ramsey and bassist Greg Archer. The addition of percussionist Mark Albosta in 2006 completed the current lineup. The band have become known for their vivacious live shows, which also feature songs by Kristin Ramsey. Their playful interaction with each other and their audience make their gigs a truly thrilling experience.
